Biography

Mercy Coles was born 24 Mar 1684 at Musketa Cove (Glen Cove), Nassau County, New York; the daughter of Robert Coles Jr and Mary ‘Mercy’ Wright. [1] [2] She married Benjamin Carpenter in 1704 at Musketa Cove (Glen Cove). [3] [4] They had the following children: Joseph, Hannah, [5] Elizabeth, Benjamin, Ann and Mary. [6]

Her death is thought to have been about 1746 at Musketa Cove (Glen Cove). She and her husband were buried on their farm. [7]
