Orlando - Virginia Coles O'Brien, 81, of Orlando, FL, passed away on May 13, 2015. She was born and grew up in Nashville, TN and lived in Gainesville, FL from 1969 to 2013. She graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Mathematics, and worked in the aircraft industry in California, raised a family in Florida, and then returned to work for Environmental Science and Engineering Company in Gainesville. She was married to the late Paul O'Brien for 57 years until his death in 2012. They were active members of Trinity United Methodist Church in Gainesville. She is survived by her sons, David A. O'Brien of Arlington, VA and John Andrew "Andy" O'Brien (Julia) of Orlando. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church, 4000 NW 53rd Ave., Gainesville, FL with Dr. Dan Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Franklin, TN. [1] [2]
