Biography

Vincent Stuckey Stratton Coles was born on 27 March 1845 at the Rectory in Shepton Beauchamp in Somerset. He was the son of James Stratton Coles and his wife Eliza, born Eliza Stuckey. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

In 1851 Vincent S. S. Coles was living at Shepton Beauchamp with his parents, James S. and Eliza, and their other children. His age was given as 6, implying a birth date in 1844 or 1845. His birthplace was given as Shepton Beauchamp, Somerset. ^[3]

In 1861 he was living at the Rectory in Shepton Beauchamp with his parents and their other children. His age was given as 16, implying a birth date in 1844 or 1845. His birthplace was given as Shepton Beauchamp, Somerset. He was a scholar at Eton College. ^[4]

His father died suddenly in January 1872, and Vincent succeeded him as rector of Shepton Beauchamp.

In 1881 Vincent S. S. Coles was living at the Rectory in Shepton Beauchamp. His age was given as 36, implying a birth date in 1844 or 1845. His birthplace was given as Shepton Beauchamp, Somerset. He was the rector of Shepton Beauchamp. ^[5]
