John Coles was the son of Robert Coles and Mary Coles.[1]
He was born in Ipswich, Massachusetts about 1633 or 1636. In 1654 he married a woman named Ann — in Warwick, Rhode Island. [2]
John and his wife had at least two children:
a daughter, who married Edward Wright of Matinecock
Solomon Cole (abt. 1660 - aft. 1714)
Son, Solomon appears on records of Oysterbay, 1728, as “Overseer of Highways at ye South.” [2]
May 2, 1653, John Cole was appointed to a committee of six tasked with communicating with the local Tribe about regarding the fencing of land. [2]
