Disputed Parents

No sources have been found to support these parents.
Joan's alleged father John Coleson
Joan's alleged mother Joan Bullock

Disputed Spouse and Children

Because the name Wood/Atwood is very common, assumptions are frequently made connecting Wood/Atwood persons with others of the same name who are not closely related.
> The husband of Joan Coleson, whose name was John has been associated with the Massachusetts immigrant John Atwood. However his wife was Ann (Lee).
> Neither of them were the parents of Henry Wood or Stephen Wood

We know that a Joan Coleson married a John Wood at St. Martin in the Fields a dtr Joan was bpt to John and three other Atwood children were bpt without a parent being mentioned. But we have determined that this John Wood was not the immigrant who married Ann. We have no reason to believe that this couple Joan Coleson Wood/Atwood traveled to New England. I propose we clean up the bits that imply New England. Mark her current parents uncertain. Leave disputed husband section, etc. Then we cut her loose from PGM, or leave her adjunct. Objections?

I concur. I'd keep her adjunct due to the amount of past confusion with the immigrant.

Nicholas had 2 Son's who went by John. The older was married to Ann Lee was known as the gentleman, and was assistant governor to William Bradford. The younger John was John the Leather Seller, married to Joan Coleson. Now John the Leather seller had a son John as well dubbed Capt John who married to Sarah Masterson. I believe Geni has it correctly sorted out. https://www.geni.com/people/John-the-Leather-Seller-Wood/6000000006981193403

Leigh Anne, is that the same document as found here on Archive.org? If so, I don't find any sources, or am I missing something? It appears that, if this is the right book, Joan is found here, and lists only one child: Stephen. [Edited to add:] It also states that Joan's husband, John Wood was a son of Nicholas Atwood/Wood and wife Olive Harman.

Parents: John Wood & Joan Coleson: The birth source for child Stephen Wood (Atwood) b. bef 1620, England who was in Plymouth, Mass. 1641 with documented land grant, made freeman 1647, etc. is coming from: "Notes on the Sanders Family & Related Families"; Part IIp pg. 1. Based on this source he m. Abigail Dunham. Unfortunately I'm looking at a subscription published record found in Ancestry.com.
What's the source for Joan/Johanna being the mother of these children, please?

I disconnected this woman from Herman Atwood, who was previously identified as her son. I found no evidence indicating such relationship.

There seems to be something very wrong here. John Atwood (d. 1644, assistant governor of Plymouth Colony) married Anne Lee, not Joan Coleson. John left a will, and didn't have any children. Has there been a bad merge, giving a false royal ancestry for John Atwood?
