When William Greenberry 'Green' Collett was born on October 11, 1871, in Canton, Georgia, his father, Archibald, was 58 and his mother, Sarah, was 41.[1] He married Dora Julia V McArthur in 1890. They had eight children in 17 years. Julia died in 1931[2] and Green died on November 10, 1964, in Cherokee, Georgia,[3] at the age of 93, and was buried there.[4]
