When Mary Alice Collett was born on December 8, 1922, in Alabama City, Alabama, her father, Arvel, was 23, and her mother, Cordia, was 19.[1] She married J. D. Farmer on July 1, 1939, in Chambers, Alabama.[2] She died on April 16, 2000,[3] in Union City, Georgia, at the age of 77, and was buried in Newnan, Georgia.[4]
