Biography
When Green Berry Collett was born on November 4, 1896, in Georgia, his father, John, was 40 and his mother, Jennette, was 43. He married Alice Estelle Pearson in 1913 in his hometown. They had at least nine children but only three or four survived to adulthood. Those known are:

- Glenn (1917–1917)
- Halmon William (1920–2006)[1]
- Dorothy Lucille 'Dot' (1926–2014)
- John Billie (1930–1933)[2]
- Sarah (1934–)
- Bobby Joe (1942–1975)

He died on May 17, 1978,[3] in Cobb, Georgia,[4] at the age of 81, and was buried in Douglasville, Georgia.[5]
