Biography

James was born in 1830. He was the son of Benjamin Collett and Rebecca Townsend. He passed away in 1901.

James Pierce Collett was baptized on 26 January 1830 [1]and died on 4 September 1901 at ‘Mynora’, Moruya, New South Wales. In 1863 James Pierce Collett left Canada with his niece Ellen Newman and went to England to settle up family affairs, then they emigrated to Australia to meet up with William Truman Collett and Benjamin Wood Collett[2]
