Biography
Norman Hugh was born at Grassridge, Fish River, on 27 January 1877; he was the son of John Collett and Mary (Trollip) Collett. He was baptised on 20 Feb 1877 in Cradock.
He was a 39 year old farmer from Botman's Kop, Maraisburg, when he married 30 year old governess Gladys Isobel Hart in the homestead of 'Conway', a farm near Middelburg, Cape Colony, on 28 June 1916.[1]
