Hi, I am Peggy McCray and am brand new to this site. Aaron Collier is my Patriot Ancestor through Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). My member number is 944364

Aaron Collier has been given the wrong John Collier as a father in this entry. His real father is John Collier-4896. His real mother is Sisley Hall-8080. There were two John Colliers born in Virginia in 1707.

Aaron had only 4 siblings: Alexander, Moses, John, and Margaret. He had no half siblings. See my entry for Collier-4896 for sources.

I removed John Collier II (Collier-802) as the father of Aaron. His mother is clearly Cicely Hall. And she was married to a John Collier. But her John Collier died around 1760 and mentioned the following people by name in his will, probated Oct. 27, 1760: Wife Sisley, son Alexander, son John, son Moses, son Aaron, daughter Margaret.

If you look at Collier-802 you'll see he had 14+ children; none of their names match the above children in the will.

Hi Melanie, are you related to Aaron Collier too? Today is my first day on this site. Peggy
