Elizabeth (Collins) Helsdon was born in Norfolk, England.

Biography

Elizabeth Collins was born in 1867 at Knapton, Norfolk, England. She was the daughter of John and Mary Collins (or Collings) Elizabeth was baptised at Knapton on January 1, 1868.^[1] She married Henry Helsdon on October 14, 1890 at Bradfield, Norfolk, England.^[2]and between 1791 and 1814 they had twelve children. Henry died in 1933 and by the time of the 1941 census Elizabeth was living at Antingham with three of her adult children.^[3] By 1851 she was living in Bradfield^[4] and in 1861 she was still living in Bradfield^[5] Elizabeth died in the Norfolk registration district of Tunstead and Happing in the first quarter of 1863 when she was 94 years old ^[6]

Research Notes Elizabeth's family name is given as both Collins and Collings, but as her father's record gives Collins I have made that her name but at the same time show the records as they were recorded. Her age is variable but within 2 or 3 years so again records are presented as they were recorded at the time even if they are not entirely accurate.
