Biography

Francis was born about 1815 in Georgia.

Francis married a woman named Cynthia. In 1860, they were living in Mitchell County, Georgia. They had eight children at home: Narcissa, Lorenzo, Joseph, Seaborn, Willis, Francis, Martin, and Cynthia. There was also a John Cooper, 25, living with them, but the relationship to the family is not known.^[1] They were still in Mitchell County in 1870. Children living at home at the time included: Seaborn, Willis, Francis, Martin, Janes, Moses, Charity, and Narcissus (aka Narcissa), who had married a Johnson, and had her children with her: James, Charity, Sarah Ann and Seaborn Johnson. It is not known if Narcissa was widowed. There was also a 2 year old Alex Cooper in the home. Perhaps the Coopers were relatives of Cynthia, Francis' wife.^[2]
