I'm a thirty-something stay-at-home mom living in the greater Atlanta metro area. I was born and raised in northwest Georgia. In 2010, I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, with honors.

I have too many hobbies and interests, including genealogy (duh), parenting (of course), baking, photography, woodworking, home improvement, reading, programming, sewing, gardening, and more. I collect projectile points, interesting rocks, minerals and fossils.

Around WikiTree, I enjoy Data Doctoring and participating in community challenges, especially the Clean-a-Thon.

Research Help

I'm available for research help in Gwinnett County, Georgia. I'm happy to look up something at the Gwinnett Historical Society, take cemetery photos, and more.

I may be able to help with queries in surrounding counties. (Forsyth, Hall, etc.).

Top Brick Walls

  1. George Elihue Murray, supposedly orphaned during the US Civil War
  2. Felix Henry Goodwin, my husband's fourth great grandfather

Advance Directive

To aid WikiTree in the administration of my account should I be incapacitated, or in the event of my death, I hereby give permission for all private profiles of living individuals I'm managing to be transferred to the WikiTree Admin Team to do as they see fit, whether or not they are currently on the Trusted Lists. I also give permission for all the private profiles of deceased individuals I'm solely managing to be set to open privacy. -- Collins-17962 06:39, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Katie by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Katie:

Thanks for joining Team Roses for the CNat and adding 150 profiles to the big tree. (I see you stopped at a nice round number ;-) )

And thanks for once again keeping up with the hangouts and giving us a heads up. You're awesome!

I'm not sure whats going on. I had Unknown, because I didn't know her maiden name. Someone else told me to change it to LNAB. I asked her what LNAB means, and she said it's her last name not unknown. What should I do?

Oh my goodness I am behind! But I wanted to thank you once again for joining Team Roses in a whole lot of fun while we cleaned up WikiTree. Thanks for your amazing work!

And a double super thank you for helping keep the team informed about hangouts.

per your comment " but you haven't marked as "corrected" on the tracker. Do you know how to do that? " The tracker updates its list every week, so it is a waste of time to manually do what the software handles automatically. Better to use the time on items of interest. :))

Hi Katie -

I wanted to thank you for joining Team Georgia on the Global Cemeteries Project. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or ideas you have. I've created a "sandbox" for Team Georgia to use as a collaborative space for questions, help, advice. ideas, etc amongst the Team.

In the meantime, check out the Team Georgia Progress Page and add the Cemeteries that you are currently (or planning to start) working on....or let me know and I can add them for you.
