Ruth Darlene DeWitt, 60, of Oakland, MD, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

Born July 5, 1956, in Deer Park, MD, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Donald and Lucretia Pearl (Tasker) Collins Watring.

Ruth Loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She worked as an office manager for Dr. Callis and was a machinist for Bausch & Lomb.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Allen DeWitt, Sr.; three sons, Richard Allen DeWitt, Jr.; Michael Albert DeWitt and wife, Abby, all of Oakland; Nicholas Allen DeWitt, Romney, WV; a step-father, Daniel Watring; two brothers, Glenn Dale Collins and wife, Donna; Floyd Collins and wife, Wanda; a sister, Norma Lee Dawson and husband, Leo, all of Deer Park, MD; nine grandchildren, Elijah DeWitt, Noah DeWitt, Ian DeWitt, Leah DeWitt, Shane Knotts, Zach Knotts, Julia Graham, Kaydence DeWitt, Trevor, DeWitt; three great-grandchildren, Avery Knotts, Jake Graham and Myles Graham.

Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Carl Fike officiating. Interment will be in Deer Park Cemetery.
