Note: 2015: MILTON, VT - Debra L. (Collins) Maietta of Milton died on Wed. Aug. 19, 2015 after a battle with lung cancer. Debbie attended Burlington schools and graduated from BHS in 1975. She worked at IBM for 20 years, where she met the love of her life, Ralph Maietta. They married on July 16, 1988. After retiring from IBM, Debbie worked various jobs. She started working for Hannafords in 2007 and worked there until her demise. Besides leaving her husband, Ralph, she also leaves her son, Arnold Ploof III and partner Jodie Bacon, both of Milton;. her grandchildren, Ryan Ploof and Autumn Ploof , both of Georgia, Vt. Debbie is also survived by her father, James Collins of Milton; her sister, Jamie and husband Lloyd LaFrance Jr. of Milton;. her brother Thomas Prim and wife, Dena of Williston; her sister, Kathy Kelley and husband Ron of Louisiana;. her stepsister, Pam Supernault and partner, Peter of Fairfax, Vt.;. her mother-in-law, Angela Maietta of South Burlington; sister-in-law, Carmie Rowell and husband, Steve of Hinesburg. Debbie also leaves her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her mother, Alice Collins; father-in-law, Vincent Maietta; nephew Lucas LaFrance; many aunt and uncles. Debbie loved to play bingo and loved to gamble. She and her sister Jamie would go over to the casino whenever they could. "Debbie when we first met, I knew you were the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Together with you, Arnold, Ryan and Autumn we enjoyed going to Florida, especially Disney World, even though a lot of times you really didn't want to go. In remembering you, "My little Debbie Doo" I want you to know that I loved you more than any women I had met before you and that I will meet after your passing. "God bless" until we meet again, don't forget how much, I loved you!!!". A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday Aug. 29 in Malletts Bay Cemetery, West Lakeshore Drive, Colchester with Father John Feltz officiating. ^[1]
