Biography

Daniel was born about 1840. He is the son of Mark Collins.

"I am a resident of Minnesota, a physician by profession and a brother of Jerome J. Collins, deceased." [1]

Daniel F. Collins 29 yrs, physician, wife Fannie 23 yrs, Mark 1 yr, resided in 1880 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, MN. [2]

Daniel F. Collins 49 yrs, physician, immigrated in 1866, wife Frances 44 yrs, mother of 11, 4 living, Minnie 18 yrs, Edward 12 yrs, Mark 7 yrs, resided in 1900 in Superior city, Douglas, Wisconsin. [3]

Daniel Collins died in 1900, aged 50 yrs, wife's name Jennie. Burial Place Minneapolis, Minn.[4][5]

Daniel F. Collins, M.D. Bellevue Hospital Medical Collere N.Y. 1873, formerly president of the Minnesota State Boaard of Medical Examiners at St Mary's Hospital, West Superior, Wis. [6]

"The funeral of Dr Daniel F. Collins who died last Sunday at his home in West Superior, was held from the Holy Rosary church at 9 o'clock Wed morning. Dr Collins was well known in this city where he practiced a number of years before locating in West Superior. He came to Minneapolis 22 years ago and was a resident of Holy Rosary parish. He was 50 years of age and leaves a widow and four children." [7]
