After Sybil died, John married 2nd Phoebe Gregson. Upon John's death, Phoebe married Rev John Russell of Hadley, Massachusetts [1]
"American Biographical Dictionary" 'incorrectly' states that 'she' married Rev. John Russell 'after his death', but it was John's 2nd wife, since Sybil died before John. [3]
"Mr John Whyting now preacher of ye word at Salem; & Sybill his wife (daughter to ye forenamed Edward Collins) both admitted to full communion here. Both dismissed to the Church of Christ at Hartford. Their children..."
