Biography

Alice was born in 1854. She was the daughter of Marvin Colton and Ellen Woodworth. Alice's mother passed away shortly after her younger sister was born, in 1856. The baby was given to the Anson Brackett family to raise and their father took the other 2 girls to Minnesota were he remarried. They eventually moved to Wisconsin after her father joined the Union Army in 1862. Alice passed away in 1863 at the age of 9 yrs 9 months and 9 days. She is buried in Wisconsin.
