"Happy belated 208th birthday to my 2nd great-grandmother, Susan Colton Pratt. She was born 7 Mar 1807 in Grantham, Sullivan, New Hampshire, USA to Lemuel and Lydia Shepard Colton. Susan was the 5th of their 6 children and middle of 3 girls. She lived her entire life in NH and VT. On 5 Jan 1831 in Johnson, Lamoille, Vermont, USA she was united in marriage with Clark Mills Pratt. They had three children including my great-grandfather Levi Clark Pratt. Susan died 19 May 1839 in Craftsbury Common, Orleans, Vermont, USA after taking ill from gathering maple syrup. Her great-grand-niece, Consuelo B Northrop, was the 1st woman to serve as lieutenant governor in the US. Because of that there are family letters at the Univ. of VT.
