John was born in 1832. He passed away in 1864.
John Whitman Colton, born 13 June 1832 in Agawam; married 23 January 1862, Albina Saloma Ball. He was educated at Yale; specialized in chemistry and filled various commercial positions in his field of research; and finally turned to the manufacture of perfumes. Residence Westfield, Massachusetts. [1]
