Biography
Edward son of Edward Colton, a Pianoforte dealer and Helen Ann Knight.
In the 1881 census Edward (age 7), Scholar, was the son of Edward Coltan in Byetheway Cot, Barnes, Surrey, England.[1]
In the 1891 census Edward (age 17) was the son of Edward Colton in Barnes, Barnes, Surrey, England.[2]
Edward (full age), son of Edward Colton, married Lilias Deborah White on 4 October 1903 in St Paul, Covent Garden, London, England.[3][4]
In the 1911 census Edward (age 38), Grocer General, was the married head of household at 8 Fulbourne Rd, Walthamstow, Walthamstow, Essex, England.[5]
Edward and his family, Lilias, Dorothy and Walter departed the Port of London on 29 August 1912 on the Rimutaka for Wellington New Zealand[6][7]
Resident of Park Island Old Men's Home, Napier and a victim of the 1931 Hawke's Bay Earthquake passed away on 3 February 1931 and is buried at Park Island Cemetery[8][9][10][11]
