Arrangements for funeral services for Robert N. Colville, 80, North 2nd road, were incomplete today. Mr. Colville died last night at his home after a short illness.
He was born Sept. 30, 1864, in Argyle and farmed there until coming to Rockford eight years ago. In 1896 he married Margaret Brown, who survives, as does a son, Arthur, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Duncan Mitchell, Hammond, Ind.; Mrs. A. C. Elliott, Rockford, and Mrs. Clyde Smith, San Diego, Cal., and five grandchildren. Two daughters predeceased him.
Mr. Colville was a member of Willow Creek Presbyterian church at Argyle.
Funeral arrangements are being made at the Burpee-Wood funeral home, 420 North Main street. [4]

In 1957 the land of the Colville homestead was a acquired for Rock Cut State Park and their house is now the office building for the Park.
