Biography

Ernest was born October 21, 1891 in Queens County, New Brunswick. He was a son of Samuel Edmund Colwell III and Susannah Elizabeth (Stiles) Colwell.[1]

He married (1) Sadie Coburn, a daughter of Frank C. Coburn and Julia (Bailey) Coburn of Ripples, on November 17, 1923 in nearby Fredericton.[2]

He was a farmer and labourer.

Sadie passed away in 1944.[3]

He married (2) Lillian Blanche Kabbel, a widow from Minto, on November 27, 1948 in Canning, New Brunswick. She was a daughter of Rufus B. Phillips and Etta A. Stewart.[4]

Ernest passed away in 1972 and was interred at the Ripples Community Cemetery in Ripples where his first and second wives are also buried.[5]
