Mrs Charles [Lizzie] Thompson, 75, of New Market died at Municipal hospital in Clarinda about eight o'clock Monday night, April 27 following a short illness. She became ill about four o'clock in the afternoon and was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where she passed away a few hours later.
Mrs Thompson was a resident of Dallas township for many years, later living north of Bedford several years, and then moving to a farm near Earlham, Iowa, where she resided 13 years. They moved to their present home in New Market about a year ago.
She is survived by her husband of the home; three sons, Kenneth Thompson of Earlham, Darrell Thompson of Gravity, Carroll Thompson of Polston, Montana. There are also 10 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, three daughters-in-law; one brother, Ned Combs of New Market; two sisters, Mrs Nellie Combs and Mrs Ocie Berger, both of New Market.
