William Noah Combs was born 20 April 1838 in Carroll County, Virginia. He was the son of Zedekiah Combs and Nancy Edwards. He died on 8 January 1916 and was buried in the Edwards Family Cemetery #01 in Fancy Gap, Carroll County, Virginia.
20 August 1860: Noah was a farmer with real estate valued at $1100. and personal belongs $67. His family was living in Carroll County, Virginia, Hillsville Post Office. He and wife Catherine were both 22 years old, and had two children, Ellen and Noah, ages 2 and 1. Also in the home was 26 year old Mary Edwards, possibly Catherine's sister. [2]
11 July 1870, Fancy Gap Post Office, Carroll County, Virginia. I'm not sure if they moved, or maybe a new post office was opened closer to home. Noah and Catherine have less property and more children. Genealogists close to the current Combs family of the area will be interested to learn that the Valentine Leonards are neighbors of William's family.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
