Biography
Leon was born on March 25, 1928 in Dorothy, West Virginia to John and Bennie Jarrell Combs. He was the first of four known children born to the couple.
Leon grew up in Raleigh County, West Virginia. On November 10, 1956 he married Caretta Christian in Packsville, West Virginia. The couple married a second time on September 20, 1958.
Leon and Caretta moved to Brunswick, Ohio. On February 22, 1981, Leon passed away in nearby Middleburg Heights, Ohio at the age of 52. He is buried alongside his wife in Pineview Cemetery in Orgas, West Virginia.
