Susanne Comeau is a descendant of an Acadian

Susanne was born about 1776 in Opelousas, Louisiana. She is the daughter of Charles Comeau and Anastasie Savoie.

She married Silvestre Mouton from the Atakapas Post, son of Jean Mouton and Isabelle/Elizabeth Bastarache, on 19 Oct 1791 in Opelousas, Louisiana. [She is listed as "Josette" by Father Hebert in this record. She is listed as "Suzette" in her daughter Celeste's baptism record; perhaps this marriage record is actually "Suzette" as well but difficult to read.] [1][2][3]

She died on 23 Sep 1814 at her own home when she was 36 years old. She was buried the following day in St Martinville, Louisiana. [4][5]
