Biography

Marie Rosalie Comhaut (later Comeau) was born on 12 Feb 1817 and was baptized the next day in La-Nativité-de-Notre-Dame parish in Bécancour, Bas-Canada. She was the daughter of Charles Comeau, farmer, and Genevieve Beaudet. Sponsors at Rosalie's baptism were Antoine Dubois and her aunt Angelle Bodet; neither sponsor signed the register.

At age 21 Rosalie married Louis Leblanc, a farmer, on 7 Feb 1842 in La-Nativité-de-Notre-Dame parish in Bécancour, Bas-Canada. There were 10 known children born into this marriage.
