This profile appears to be a combination of two different John Comers, one that lived and died in Halifax County, VA, and one that lived and died in Grayson County, VA. The Halifax John Comer was the son of Thomas and Frances Moore Comer (as listed), and married Amy Epps (as listed), but they remained in Halifax County. John’s will was probated in June 1802 in Halifax County, listing Amy as his loving wife. She was listed in the 1810 personal tax list of Halifax County and died sometime afterwards. I’m not familiar with the Grayson County John, but in reading the pension application presented in the Biography, the birth and death dates and locations obviously match the Grayson County John, who according to the application, never lived in Halifax County. The other wife mentioned probably belongs to the Grayson County John, and maybe one or two of the children, but the majority of the children and parents appear to be Halifax related. Should this profile be corrected for one John Comer and a second one created? It appears to be very incorrect as it exists, but maybe I’m missing something.

Comer-403 and Comer-235 appear to represent the same person because: Possible duplicate profile.

Had same original death date.

Hi Jenny

I have been working on a profile that came up on the data Doctors suggestion feed this gives John P comer father as John C comer not as given here John J Comer

I have found a memorial record that give details of the family but can not find a memorial for a John Jo Comer in the John Comer Cemetery.

Could you assist in verifying which is the correct name / initial for the father of John P comer

See https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/158068630/john-c.-comer and https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/106978164/john-phame-comer

His date of birth seems incorrect if you look at the dates of his father and his son.
