He was b. at Scotchtown, and was a graduate of Middletown H. S. (1908) and Cornell Univ. (M. E., 1913). He was employed (1913) by the Riter Conley Steel Co. He was with the Workmen's Compensation Service Bureau (1914-20) in Minn., Nebr., La., and Md. Most of his later work was in the field of insurance; he was with the Maryland Casualty Co. (1921-25). He moved to Oakland, Calif., and 30 years later, to Hayward. He opened an office as insurance broker (1926) at Oakland. He lived (1963) in San Leandro; he and his wife were members of the Shattuck Ave. Meth. Ch. (Oakland) for over 40 years.
