Christening records indicate the name of Richard Compton's father as William. No mother is mentioned. In addition, the christening records of Richard's children name Elizabeth Frognall as his wife, but no other records have been found as of this posting. One of Richard's children, Elizabeth, married Thomas Dibben while in India in 1776.
