William Compton lived in Masterton, Wellington, New Zealand.

William was born about the 15 February 1890 at Wairarapa District, Wellington New Zealand, he is the son of Thomas Compton and Elizabeth Helen Bland (Rayner) Compton.^{[1] [2]}

He married Katherine Olive (Graham) Compton on the 17 August 1910 at Masterton, Wairarapa District, Wellington, New Zealand.^[3]

They had at least two sons and one daughter.

1. Erl William Compton, b. 1912 - 1971
2. Nella Elizabeth Compton, b. 1916
3. Laurie Compton, b. 1920

William and Katherine Compton are my great grandparents. Erl William Compton is my grandfather.

William passed away about the 23 September 1966 at Carterton, Wairarapa, Wellington, New Zealand, age 76, and was buried at the Clareville Cemetery, Carterton, Wairarapa, New Zealand. ^[4][5]
