Biography
Jacob Conant, son of Samuel Conant and Rebecca Coffin, was born on 1 September 1758 and baptized on 3 September 1758. He graduated from Harvard in 1777. There is no further record of Jacob's life.[1]
Some online trees indicate that this Jacob Conant is the same person as Jacob Hardy Canant who married Elizabeth Betsy Cargill. Unfortunately, there are no primary sources to show this connection. The Find-a-Grave profile for Jacob Hardy Canant indicates a connection, but there is no stone or source.[2]

I see there are no children listed for Jacob. If Jacob is the same person as my Hardy Conant (I have seen some people have him as the same person, as Jacob Hardy Conant) then we could add some children. Have not found anything convincing that they are the same person, although I would like them to be. If anyone has something about Jacob and Jacob Hardy please share.
