Biography

Daniel Cone was born on 26 Dec 1694 in East Haddam, Hartford, Connecticut Colony, son of Deacon Daniel Cone (~1666 - 1725) and Mary (Gates) Cone (1674 - 1742).

His siblings were:

Daniel married Mary Barnes (1697 - ~1763) in 1718 in Haddam, Hartford. Their children were:

Daniel married Abigail Griswold (~1730 - ) on 7 May 1760 in East Haddam.

Daniel removed to the parish of Millington in East Haddam in 1732, becoming one of its earliest settlers. Was Lieutenant in the Militia, Justice of the Peace and held the office of Deacon in the Congregational Church for 30 years.

Daniel died on 27 May 1776 in Moodus, Middlesex, Connecticut aged 81. His sons Jonah and William were appointed administrators of his estate in his will, which was admitted to probate July 4, 1776.
