Elvira was born in 1823. She passed away in 28 January 1888 in Corinna Township, Wright County, Minnesota.[1]

After her husband's death, she continued to live on their farm in Corinna Township with her children. Her husband's estate was not probated until after her death. Then both estates were settled at the same time.

She died "of weakness of the stomach & general disability." Although her name is recorded as Elma H. Day in the death register, her name usually was recorded as Elvira. She probably was buried next to her husband in what is now called North Corinna Cemetery. Her grave is unmarked notwithstanding the posting of her grave on "Find A Grave."

Was Elvira's middle name Harriet? It is logical to assume that she was given her mother's name as her middle name but no contemporaneous record, located so far, includes her middle name.
