When I was a teenager my grandmother Ira Lee Conner (Myles) stated her age differently at various times. Her stated age in US Censuses from 1900 through 1950 was different in each one. I place her correct birth year as 1884 based on her listing in the 1900 US Census because, at 16, she would have had the least incentive then to state a younger age.
