Francis Carey was born about 1909 in Massachusetts. In 1935, he was living in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. In 1939, he was employed for the entire year and earned a total of 610 dollars. In 1940, he was working as a milkman, and paying 20 dollars per month to live at 16 “L Fayette Park” in Ward 13 of Boston. Living with him was his wife, Mary Carey, [informant,] born about 1914 in Massachusetts, and the following children, all born in Massachusetts:
