Biography

William Bernard Connolly was the first child of Thomas Connolly and Ada Adeline (Sumner) Connolly.^[1][2] He was known as Bill.^[3]

Birth

He was born 27 May 1901 at Warren Cottage, Perry Barr, Staffordshire, England and was baptised 8 June 1901 at Maryvale Chapel, Old Oscott, Perry Barr.^[1][4][3]

Marriage

William Bernard Connolly and Gertrude Ann Turley were married 20 December 1924 at the Roman Catholic Church of St Michael, West Bromwich, Staffordshire.^[5][3]

Research Notes

• Connolly or Conolly? Many of his siblings seem to have changed to "Conolly", but apart from the birth registration index, William Bernard seems to have been known as "Connolly".^[2]
