DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Dorcas by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Dorcas:
Have at least 3 other files with her name. I think Conner_1113 best suited. However, what to do with Connor_3618, Connor_5287, and Connor_4020? Hitting an impasse.
Dorcas Ann Conner is the daughter of Edward Conner and Ann Cox. Edward married Sarah later. The Cox surname came (eventually) from Peter Larsson, a cook (Koch) on the Kalmar Nyckel. He was a Forest Finn in the New Sweden Colony. Note Sarah married Edward in 1807. Ann was the daughter of John Cox and Nancy Bellamy. John Cox and Nancy Bellamy actually had another daughter who may be Dorcas' mother. I don't know anyone who has positively ruled one in and the other out.
