Michael was born on 11 Sep 1871 on the townland of Glannagilliagh, son of John Connors and Mary Hassett[1].

Glannagilliagh is in the Electoral Division of Caragh, in Civil Parish of Killorglin, in the Barony of Iveragh, in the County of Kerry[2]; Roman Catholic Parish of Killorglin in the Poor Law Union of Killarney.

He married Johanna Connor on 8 Jun 1892 in St. James Catholic Church in Manchester, Hartford, Connecticut, United States[3]. Witnesses were John Connors, brother of the groom, and Helen (Nellie) Connor, sister of the bride[4].

They had children John (1893-1894), Mary Elizabeth Connors Wundrack (1895-1981) wife of Charles Wundrack, Charles Joseph Connors (1902-1980), Michael Connors (1904-1988), and Elsie Cecelia Connors Reffelt (1910-1961).

In 1900 they lived at 49 Francis Street in Ansonia, Connecticut[5]. This was the family homestead until 1938 upon the death of Josephine.

Michael J. Connors made a good living employed at Farrel Foundry & Machine Co. (FF&M Co.) in Ansonia, Connecticut, for more than 30 years. He worked his way up the company ladder to foundry foreman and was called a chemist at the time of his death in 1929. His specialty was in foundry furnaces.

Hi Denise,

It is a requirement on WikiTree that profiles of those born over 150 years ago (like this one) have an Open privacy, to help with collaboration. If you could please amend this from its current privacy of Public, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Feargal (Data Doctor)
