Biography

Per the 1900 census (which enumerates him as Cronin Conner), he was born April 1855 in Ireland and emigrated in 1870.[1] Per the 1910 census, Crohan was born in Ireland about 1859 and emigrated to the U.S. in 1870.[2]

We find an 1885 naturalization record for him (as Cronin O'Connor) in Tompkins County, New York.[3]

Identified (with Irish-born wife Nellie Ahern) as father of the bride on the Groton, Tompkins County, New York marriage record of his daughter Mary Agnes Connor.[4]

Per the 1910 census, Crohan and Nellie (enumerated as Oconnor) were married 18 years, suggesting they were married in 1892.[2]

They appear as a married couple (no children) in the February 1892 state census in Groton, NY.[5]

A find-a-grave memorial (without a photo of a stone) claims he was born 1858 and died in 1913, and is buried at Saint Anthony's Cemetery in Groton, Tompkins, New York.[6]

The New York, State Death Index (listing him as Connors) indicates a death date of 28 July in Groton.[7]

I could not find the Connor family in 1880, but given the spelling variations (O'Connor, Oconner, Connor and Connors), it's still possible they're out there somewhere.

FYI, I worked on this set of profiles (Crohan and Nellie) because I was working through Wikitree's list of dateless, sourceless profiles.

Connors-295 and Connors-269 appear to represent the same person because: Represents the same spouse of Nellie Ahern. First name should be Crohan. Thank you.

Also, please change the privacy setting of Connors-269 as he died over 100 years ago. Thank you.
