Amos was born in 1879. He is the son of James Constable and Eliza Langford.

He was born in the first quarter of 1879 in Ely, Cambridgeshire. ^[1]

He married Mary Knowles in the final quarter of 1900 at Ely, Cambridgeshire ^[4]
