The third son of John Charles Constable and Letitia Maria Mourgue, Charles Quayle Constable was born on 11 March 1807 on the Island of Dominica in the West Indies. [1]
He was educated at Charterhouse between 1823 and 1825 [2] and then at Trinity College, Cambridge. [3]
Whilst at Cambridge, he was a founder member of The Cambridge University Boat Club in 1827. [4] He graduated with a BA in 1829.
He died at sea on passage from Antigua on 5 June 1831. [5]. He never married.
