Biography

The daughter of Dr John Constable and Jane Kerin, Eweretta Constable was born in in Dublin, Ireland. in 1754. ^[1] John Constable was a surgeon in the British Army and later in 1754, he was posted to Montreal, taking his family with him.

in 1769, at the age of 15, she married James Phyn, a merchant from England and a business associate of her father, WillIam Constable. The marriage licence was issued in November 1768. ^[2]

James and Eweretta Phyn had 4 children: 1 Catherine Phyn, (b29 July 1778 in London, marr Lt-Gen John Maister). 2 John Johnson Phyn; (born Schenectady, New York State, USA), dsp. 3 George Phyn (b1773, Schenectady, New York State, USA); dsp. 4 Jane Phyn (b1783, marr William Bell of London).

She died and was buried in Constableville, Lewis County, NY, USA. The date of death is unknown at present.
