Eleanor Rose Conway, of Caroline, married on September 3, 1749, Colonel James Madison, Senior, of Montpelier, Orange County, son of Ambrose and Frances Taylor Madison. She was named for her great aunt, Eleanor Brocos. They had 12 children together.
