Charles was born in 1847. He was the son of Ephraim Conway and Mary Neeley. He passed away in 1917. He is the father of 11 children: Ephraim, Mary Ann, Charles, Margaret "Maggie", Joseph, Sarah, James "Jimmie", Frances "Fannie", Charles, William, and baby girl.
