Emily (and her elder sister Eliza) were the daughters of George Conway (b. abt. 1826 Maidstone) and Eliza Conway late Baker nee Ditton (b. abt. 1821 Ashford, Kent) from the 1851 census. Connected to wrong mother, so removed from incorrect mother. Also connected to wrong father, as Emily's father was a different George Conway to George Courtney Conway, so disconnected from incorrect father.
Emily's parents, George Conaway [sic] and Eliza Baker married in 1847 at St. Margaret, Barming, Kent, England. George Conaway [sic], 22, bachelor, labourer of Barming, son of Robert Conaway [sic] (labourer); and Eliza Baker, widow of Barming, daughter of Thomas Ditton (carpenter). Witnessed by James Brook and Thomas Taylor.[4]
Emily's father George was baptised as just George Conway on the 1st January 1826 at All Saints, Maidstone, the son of Robert Conway and Sarah Conway.
