He married Abigail Downing August 8, 1609, in St. Nicholas, Ipswich, Suffolk, England. Abigail Downing, born 1580 in St. Mary at Tower, Ipswitch, Suffolk, England.She was the daughter of Sir George Downing and Miss Bellamy.

John Cood know as John Coade was a Skinner probably self employed He was born in Ipswich abt 1585 and married Abigail Downing 20th February 1614 He died in London in April 1623 and was buried at Saint Helens in Bishopsgate 9th April 1623.
