Under general notes it says, "Arthur Coody Served with the 42nd Foot Rangers, 2nd Regiment, Georgia Militiain 1760 under the command of General James Edward Oglethorpe." Oglethorpe left Georgia in 1743 and never returned. Arthur Coody would have been one year old at that time. The 42nd Foot Rangers, 2nd regiment Georgia Militia was not under Oglethorpe at the time Coody served with them. My father and grandfather told me the same family story that said he was a scout for Oglethorpe.

Coody-24 and Coody-43 appear to represent the same person because: review for merging

Coody-29 and Coody-24 appear to represent the same person because: Dates of birth are similar (I believe dob 1740 is correct.); wife is the same; location and date of death is the same. Arthur and Edith Vann had 7 kids together: Lewis, Esther, Rachel, James, Edward, Zephaniah, and Joseph. I would like to be added to the trusted list as well so I can add James Coody's profile. Thanks in advance.
